The Importance of Keeping Our COAs With Your Original Art You Get From Us

When you purchase an original artwork from us, you are buying a one of one physical piece created by hand in our studio.

Our original artworks are never reproduced. If prints are made, they are created from high resolution scans and are clearly sold as prints. The original remains singular and distinct.

That is why the Certificate of Authenticity matters.

A COA is official documentation confirming that the artwork you received is the original physical piece. It connects your artwork to our studio records, where each original is logged, cataloged, and archived, which is new for us in 2026.

The COA verifies the title, medium, date, and signature authentication. It confirms that the work is not a reproduction and not a print.

In the art world, documentation supports provenance. Provenance supports value.

Because scanned prints may exist, clarity is important. Prints are labeled as prints. The original is one of one. The COA ensures there is no confusion now or in the future.

Keeping your COA with the artwork also shows that you respect the work and the process behind it. It demonstrates that you value the craftsmanship and understand the importance of preserving documentation.

Maintaining the COA is comparable to professional grading in the sense that both reflect care and seriousness. Grading offers third party verification. A preserved COA provides direct studio authentication. Both support the long term integrity of the piece.

If someone asks in the future whether your artwork is original, the documentation provides a clear answer. That matters. No matter how many people try to dissuade you about our works, you having physical proof along with the COA of our works coming from our hands to you is ALWAYS the only proof and truth that you need.

We recommend storing the COA flat, dry, and protected. If you frame the artwork, store the COA separately in a safe place. It should not be discarded, even if you never plan to resell the piece.

Original art carries history. Proper documentation preserves that history.

If you own one of our originals, keep the artwork and its Certificate of Authenticity together and protected.

Preservation reflects appreciation. Preservation reflects appreciation. Preservation reflects appreciation.
